Wow, this is clearly evidence of Japanese diversity in absorbing foreign food. A leading spice company in the name of SB, which has taken a great role in introducing semi-Indian style curry and rice to Japan some decades ago, has recently begun selling ready-made sauce for one Georgian dish, Shkmerul(シュクメルリ). Amusingly indeed, as I added carrots and Japanese Daikon radish without concern for the recipe, it looks no different from the ordinary Japanese cream stew! I even went so far as to put in a little bit of cream cheese, resulting in a less authentic stew that was more to my liking.
